PartnershipsPartnerships play an important role for LTAP/TTAP Centers. All LTAP/TTAP Centers are members of the American Public Works Association (APWA), the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) and the National Association of County Engineers (NACE) through national agreements and memberships provided by FHWA. TTAP Centers work closely with a number of federal, state, local and tribal organizations, including the Bureau of Indian Affairs, state departments of transportation and LTAP Centers, regional planning organizations, FHWA's Office of Federal Lands Highways and the Transportation Research Board. It is also common for individual Centers to have partnership arrangements with local or state chapters and associations. Partnership opportunities and agreements allow LTAP/TTAP Centers to leverage their resources and reach a wider audience. Members of the partner organizations often serve on the advisory committees or boards for LTAP/TTAP Centers. NLTAPA has formal partnership agreements with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), APWA, NACE and the Salt Institute. |
